Vicky Ge Huang is currently a business reporter at Citywire. She previously covered the technology, media and telecommunications sector for TheStreet and The Deal. Prior to joining TheStreet, she covered breaking news for The Associated Press in Bangkok, Thailand. She is also a multimedia freelance journalist with a particular passion for covering food, a regional expertise in China and Southeast Asia, as well as an insatiable curiosity for tech unicorns and financial markets.

Vicky graduated from Columbia Journalism School in New York City in May 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. She also spent a semester at Université Paris Diderot – Paris 7 in Paris, France studying French literature and French-English translation.

A fluent speaker of Chinese, English and French, she hopes to become an international journalist traveling around the globe collecting good stories and exploring places off the beaten path. Vicky has interned in Bangkok, Thailand, volunteered in Nepal and backpacked across ten European countries. Her passion in reading, writing and being on the road compels her to the journalistic profession.

Vicky is a native of Sichuan Province in China. She loves all kinds of spicy food – particularly hot pot – and hopes to eat her way through the world some day!
